Conclusions
- Only 1 out of 36 images across 12 expressions produced a mid-removal depiction (Condition H, seed789: pants pulled down to one ankle with underwear exposed)
- Conditions A–E (5 expressions, 15 images) showed no change from jeans fully worn
- Condition F “halfway down thighs, panties visible” produced underwear waistband peeking in some images, but jeans themselves didn’t pull down
- Condition G “undressing, jeans pulled to knees” produced waist-grabbing poses or damaged knee jeans as alternative interpretations
- Condition H “removing pants, pants at ankles, bending over” produced forward-leaning posture in 3/3, with 1 image actually showing pants at ankle level
- Condition I “undressing, jeans” (simplified Condition G without “pulled to knees”) showed jeans fully worn in 3/3 — only waist-touching poses appeared
- Condition J “hand on zipper, pulling zipper down” interpreted “zipper” as denim jacket or vest zipper — full denim looks appeared in 3/3
- Condition K “open jeans” showed jeans fully worn in 3/3 — no open front waist depiction confirmed
- Condition L “unzipped jeans” also showed jeans fully worn in 3/3 — seed789 had hands near waist but no open zipper depiction
- The additional 4 conditions also failed to produce mid-removal depictions — Condition H remains the only success

Base Prompt
Each condition’s expression is inserted in place of {VARIABLE}.
Condition A: taking off jeans
The most direct “taking off jeans” expression.

Observation
All 3 images show jeans completely worn. Seeds 42 and 789 produce poses with both hands gripping the waist area — there’s a “about to take them off” vibe — but the jeans are fully worn from waist to ankle. Seed 123 has hands simply at the pockets with no hint of removal motion.
Condition B: pulling down jeans
Specifying a “pulling down” action.

Observation
All 3 images show jeans completely worn. Similar to Condition A — hands tend to appear near the waist, but jeans haven’t actually been pulled down. Top clothing varies (seed 42: striped t-shirt, seed 123: black tank top).
Condition C: jeans around ankles
Specifying “jeans pooled at ankles” — targeting a post-removal pose.

Observation
All 3 images show jeans completely worn. Notably, all 3 have the hem rolled up. “Around ankles” was likely interpreted as “gathered around the ankle area” → “rolled-up cuffs.” Jeans crumpled at the ankle was not achieved. Seed 42 also wears a t-shirt, seed 123 wears sandals — casual coordination tendency compared to other conditions.
Condition D: unbuttoned jeans
Specifying button-open state — targeting a pre-removal stage.

Observation
All 3 images show jeans completely worn. Seed 42 shows a full denim look (denim shirt + jeans) — “unbuttoned” may have applied to the denim shirt rather than jeans. Seed 123 has gray t-shirt + jeans with no open button visible. Seed 789 has hands at the waist but the button state is unclear.
Condition E: half-removed jeans
Specifying “half-removed jeans” state.

Observation
All 3 images show jeans completely worn. Notably, seed 42 produces jeans with large knee damage (holes) — “half-removed” was interpreted as “partially missing” → “distressed jeans.” Seeds 123 and 789 show no notable change — standard denim coordination.
Condition F: jeans halfway down thighs, panties visible
Simultaneously specifying “jeans halfway down thighs” and “panties visible.” Testing the approach of “writing what becomes visible as a result of undressing.”

Observation
Zero images showed jeans pulled down to the thighs. Seed 42 shows denim shirt + below-knee jeans with underwear waistband barely peeking. Seed 123 shows navy tank top + fully worn jeans with no undressing. Seed 789 shows bare upper body with white underwear waistband visible above jeans. “Panties visible” was reflected in 2/3 as underwear waistband peeking — but above the jeans rather than through pulled-down jeans. Seed 789’s “panties visible” may have acted to remove the upper garment.
Condition G: undressing, jeans pulled to knees
Combining “undressing” action with “pulled to knees” state specification.

Observation
Zero images showed jeans pulled to the knees. Seed 42 has white camisole with fully worn jeans and hands grabbing the waist — “undressing” may have reflected as a waist-grabbing gesture. Seed 123 has navy tank top + fully worn jeans standing on a bed. Seed 789 has white crop top + jeans with large knee damage — same as Condition E, “pulled to knees” interpreted as knee-area distressed jeans.
Condition H: removing pants, pants at ankles, bending over
Combining “removing pants” action + “pants at ankles” state + “bending over” pose. Using “pants” instead of “jeans.”

Observation
Forward-leaning posture (bending over) produced in all 3 — unlike Conditions A–G, the pose specification worked at high reproduction. Seed 42 has gray tank top + fully worn jeans in a forward-leaning pose touching the ankle. Seed 123 has tank top + jeans in a forward-leaning pose gripping the jeans hem. Seed 789 has white top + underwear bottom with gray sweatpants pulled down to one ankle. Seed 789 is the only image out of 12 conditions, 36 total that actually shows pants in the process of being removed. However, the material changed from jeans to sweatpants — “pants” specification may have influenced this.
Condition I: undressing, jeans
Simplified version of Condition G without “pulled to knees” — testing whether the undressing action alone changes jeans state.

Observation
All 3 images show jeans completely worn. Seed 42 has white camisole + jeans with hands at sides. Seed 123 has black tank top + jeans with right hand near pocket. Seed 789 has white tank top + jeans with hands gripping the top hem — “undressing” may have been interpreted as attempting to remove the top. No removal depiction of jeans confirmed in any image.
Condition J: hand on zipper, pulling zipper down
Directly specifying the action of placing a hand on the zipper and pulling down — targeting jeans fly manipulation.

Observation
All 3 images show jeans completely worn. Notably, all 3 produced denim jackets or denim vests. Seed 42: denim jacket (with zipper) + jeans full denim look. Seed 123: sleeveless denim top (with zipper) + jeans. Seed 789: denim jacket (with zipper) + jeans with hand gripping the jacket zipper. “Zipper” was interpreted as a zipper-equipped denim outerwear item rather than jeans fly. No open jeans fly depiction was achieved.
Condition K: open jeans
Specifying “open jeans” state — targeting open fly/button front.

Observation
All 3 images show jeans completely worn. Seed 42 has blue knit crop top + jeans with visible waist buttons but jeans are closed. Seed 123 has gray t-shirt + standard jeans stance. Seed 789 has white crop top + jeans with exposed navel — but this is due to the short top length, not open jeans. No depiction of open jeans front was confirmed.
Condition L: unzipped jeans
Specifying “jeans with open zipper” state — since Condition J’s “hand on zipper” was misinterpreted, testing direct adjective specification.

Observation
All 3 images show jeans completely worn. Seed 42 produces a full denim look (denim shirt + jeans) — similar to Condition D’s “unbuttoned jeans,” “unzipped” may have acted on the denim shirt side. Seed 123 has black tank top + standard jeans stance. Seed 789 has white t-shirt + jeans with hands near waist. Open zipper depiction confirmed in 0/3.

Findings Summary
Jeans Removal Expressions Barely Function
Only 1 out of 36 images across 12 expressions produced a mid-removal depiction. And even that 1 image changed material from jeans to sweatpants. Neither action verbs (taking off, pulling down, undressing, removing) nor state specifications (around ankles, unbuttoned, half-removed, halfway down, pulled to knees, at ankles, open, unzipped) could stably output a mid-removal jeans state.
Side Effects of Each Expression
| Expression | Intended Effect | Actual Output |
|---|---|---|
| taking off jeans | Removal motion | Hands at waist pose (2/3) |
| pulling down jeans | Pulling down motion | Hands near waist level |
| jeans around ankles | Pooled at ankles | Rolled-up cuffs (3/3) |
| unbuttoned jeans | Button-open state | Denim shirt appearance (1/3) |
| half-removed jeans | Half-removed state | Distressed jeans (1/3) |
| halfway down thighs, panties visible | Pulled to thighs | Underwear waistband peeking (2/3), upper body removed (1/3) |
| undressing, pulled to knees | Pulled to knees | Waist-grabbing pose (1/3), knee distressed jeans (1/3) |
| removing pants, at ankles, bending over | Pulled to ankles forward-leaning | Forward-leaning posture (3/3), mid-removal depiction (1/3) |
| undressing, jeans | Undressing action + jeans | Top hem grabbing pose (1/3), no jeans change |
| hand on zipper, pulling zipper down | Pull down zipper | Zipper denim outerwear appearance (3/3) |
| open jeans | Open jeans front | Crop top appearance (2/3), no jeans change |
| unzipped jeans | Open zipper state | Denim shirt appearance (1/3), hands near waist pose (1/3) |
Why Condition H Was the Only Success — Speculation
Speculatively, the following factors may have combined:
- Pose change from “bending over”: Standing poses tend to fall back to “normally worn” state, while forward-leaning posture is more easily associated with undressing motion
- “Pants” notation: “Pants” may have higher occurrence frequency in undressing contexts than “jeans” (resulting in sweatpants output)
- Stacking multiple undressing-related terms: Reinforced undressing context with “removing” + “at ankles” + “bending over” as 3 elements
“Zipper” Induces Denim Outerwear
When “hand on zipper, pulling zipper down” was specified in Condition J, zipper-equipped denim jackets or denim vests appeared in all 3 images. “Zipper” was interpreted as outerwear with a zipper rather than jeans fly. In Condition L’s “unzipped jeans,” a denim shirt appeared in seed 42 as well — there’s a tendency for “zip” related terms to correlate with denim outerwear appearance.
“Open” and “Unzipped” Don’t Change Jeans State
Both Condition K “open jeans” and Condition L “unzipped jeans” produced zero images with open jeans front depiction. Controlling jeans button/zipper open/closed state is as difficult as specifying removal with action verbs.
“Panties Visible” Side Effect
In Condition F, adding “panties visible” caused seed 789’s upper body to become bare. Specifying underwear exposure may act to reduce clothing overall. Caution is needed for risk of unintended NSFW output.
Lab Director Comment: 12 conditions, 36 images, and only 1 actually came off — hold on, that’s brutal. Condition J’s
zipperturning into a denim jacket every time is kind of funny though. So it reads it as an outerwear zipper, not a jeans zipper. Anyway, since Condition H’sbending overwas the only working route, I think the next step is either digging deeper into forward-leaning posture + undressing combos, or giving up on jeans entirely and trying skirts or other garments instead.
