Conclusions First

• Control produces a full-body shot in a nighttime urban area; ambient lighting alone doesn’t produce illumination elements
• walking through illumination light tunnel produces an arch-shaped light tunnel, but stability varies by seed
• illumination lights festival + wide shot produces LED-lit street trees, but changes in subject size are limited
• illuminated trees lining street, winter night reliably generates winter illumination-lined streets — the most “illumination event” atmosphere of all conditions
• standing under illumination light arch stably produces a composition surrounded by light on three sides in an arch-shaped light tunnel
• vast illumination display background + long shot has limited pull-back effect and is unstable (2 people generated in some)
• illumination lights reflecting on wet ground, rainy night doubles the light information via road surface reflections — the most dazzling condition overall
• surrounded by hanging illumination lights generates a composition surrounded by pillars of string lights

Experiment Design

The framing (FRAMING) and illumination expression (VARIABLE) were changed per condition to observe the spread of the illumination space in full body to wide shots. Most conditions use full body framing; A02 changes to wide shot and A05 to long shot.

A00: control

Observation: Full body shot in a nighttime urban area. The background has scattered streetlights, shop sign lighting, and car headlights, with road lane markings and traffic signs visible. Subject stands near the center of the road with a deep composition. No illumination-style light concentration. Overall color temperature is neutral to slightly cool.

A01: illumination light tunnel

Observation: Seed 2 generates a composition walking through an arch-shaped light tunnel (semicircular structures with LED on metal frames), clearly different illumination space from control. However, other seeds stay close to control’s street full body shot, and the specified light tunnel generation is unstable.

A02: illumination lights festival + wide shot

Observation: Subject size is almost the same as control with no major change in framing from the wide shot specification. The background shows LED illumination-lined street trees, with higher light density than control. However, it doesn’t form as clear an illumination-lined street as A03.

A03: illuminated trees lining street

Observation: The illuminated trees lining street, winter night specification generates winter illumination-lined streets in all 3 images, with LED lights wrapped around roadside trees. Warm and white/blue LEDs are mixed, with symmetrical tree-lined streets emphasizing depth. Seed 2 shows a snowy winter scene with entire tree branches covered in white LEDs. Subject is placed in front of the lined avenue, with very high background light density. Best captures the “illumination event” atmosphere of all conditions.

A04: illumination light arch

Observation: The illumination light arch specification produces a light tunnel with LED lights on arched metal frames. Continuous arches receding into the background create a tunnel-like space with strong depth. Seed 2 shows a large arch spanning a pedestrian path with lights also on the ceiling frame. Subject stands in the center of the path, surrounded by light on three sides — left, right, and above. Contrasts with A03’s natural tree-lined setting — this is artificial structure illumination.

A05: vast illumination display + long shot

Observation: Seed 2 generates two facing people, generating 2 subjects despite the “1girl” specification. The background shows street tree illumination (warm to white) similar to A03, with bokeh light points distributed along branches. Subject size has the upper body filling most of the frame — the pull-back effect of long shot is limited.

A06: illumination lights reflecting on wet ground

Observation: The reflecting on wet ground, rainy night specification produces a rain-wet road surface that reflects the warm-colored light of street tree illumination. The mirror-like road surface effectively doubles the light quantity, dramatically increasing overall image brightness and liveliness. The composition of the tree-lined avenue is similar to A03, but the added foot-level reflections create a more three-dimensional light space. The highest light information density of all conditions.

A07: surrounded by hanging illumination lights

Observation: A composition is generated with vertical string lights (evenly spaced hanging lights) surrounding the subject. Light pillars are placed on the left, right, and behind the subject, with the subject standing in the center of the light space. Some seeds show light reflections at the subject’s feet with a mirror-like floor. Light source is similar to the fairy lights in the close-up article, but with a full body frame emphasizing the surrounded feeling.

Summary

For depicting an illumination space in full body shots, illuminated trees lining street, winter night (A03) most stably generates tree-lined avenue illumination. For an artificial tunnel structure, standing under illumination light arch (A04) is effective. illumination lights reflecting on wet ground, rainy night (A06) has a unique effect of increasing light information through road reflections. long shot has unstable framing control — using full body in combination is better.
