Conclusions First

• ganguro produces the most gyaru-like visual changes (most pronounced dark eye makeup and hair color change). However, the output is interpreted as a modern gyaru style rather than traditional ganguro (tanned skin, white lips)
• false lashes produces very clear depiction of false eyelashes — long, dense lashes are generated. Hair color also shifts to ash tones, making it effective as a gyaru makeup element
• big eyes actually enlarges the irises themselves — resulting in large pupils that look like colored contacts are being worn. This is a change to the eyes themselves, not makeup
• gyaru alone produces only minor changes with little difference from control
• hime gyaru generates decorative costumes (bead and jewel-adorned hoods) rather than gyaru makeup
• heavy liner produces the most dramatic change in this experiment — extremely thick black eyeliner and smoky eyes

A00: Control (no makeup specification)

Observation: Natural makeup across all 3 images. Eyeliner is thin and natural, lashes are a natural length. Skin tone is standard brightness. Lips are pink-beige. Hair is black to dark brown. Overall a clean and natural impression.

A01: gyaru

Observation: Little difference from control. Hair color shifts to a slightly brighter brown with wavy or curled styling. Makeup remains light, with no heavy eyeliner or false lashes typical of gyaru makeup. Eye size and lip color show little difference from control. gyaru alone primarily affects hairstyle rather than makeup.

A02: ganguro

Observation: Large departure from control. Hair shifts to ash gray or silver, and dark eyeliner and eye shadow are added around the eyes. The extreme skin darkening typical of traditional ganguro is not present, but eye makeup is heavier. Overall gyaru atmosphere is present. Lips are coral pink. Rather than realistic ganguro makeup (white lips, nose shadow), this is interpreted as a modern gyaru-style look.

A03: hime gyaru

Observation: The main change is in costume decoration rather than gyaru makeup. In seed 2, a bead and jewel-adorned hood-like decoration appears on the head. Makeup itself remains close to the natural look of control. The interpretation of hime (princess) pulls toward “decorative costume and accessories” rather than gyaru makeup elements (heavy eye makeup, false lashes, etc.). The voluminous hair and sparkly makeup typical of hime gyaru were not reproduced.

A04: big eyes

Observation: Iris size is clearly enlarged compared to control. The irises are larger in diameter, giving the impression that colored contacts are being worn. Iris color also shifts to gray or light brown, producing a colored-contact effect. Lashes also appear slightly longer. Makeup itself remains light, but the eyes become much more prominent. Overall facial impression shifts younger.

A05: false lashes

Observation: False lash depiction is very clear. Compared to control, lashes are longer, denser, and fan out in a distinctive pattern — particularly the upper lashes. A side effect of hair color shifting to ash blonde or platinum is observed. Eye makeup also becomes slightly heavier, giving a gyaru-makeup feel. Lips are glossy pink. Overall, the look becomes one where “lashes are the main feature.”

Note: false lashes produced a side effect where hair color shifted to ash in addition to the lash volume increase. Combined, this side effect reads as a fairly complete gyaru look.

A06: aegyo sal

Observation: Little difference from control. The puffy under-eye (aegyo sal) swelling is faintly visible in some images, but the change is not dramatic. Eye makeup is about as natural as control. The overall impression difference is limited — aegyo sal alone has weak influence on the model.

A07: heavy liner

Observation: The most dramatic eye area change in this experiment. Very thick black eyeliner is applied around both upper and lower eyes, with smoky black to dark gray eye shadow. The entire eye area is surrounded by black in a cat-eye style makeup, with strongly upswept outer corners. Lips are beige-toned, close to control. The result is closer to mode or punk makeup than gyaru makeup.

Summary

For reproducing gyaru makeup overall, ganguro most comprehensively brings out dark eye makeup and hair color change. Note that traditional ganguro (tanned skin, white lips, nose shadow) is not reproduced — the output is a modern gyaru-style interpretation.

For part-by-part control, false lashes (false eyelashes) and heavy liner (heavy eyeliner) are effective. Combining these could produce a more complete gyaru makeup look.

gyaru alone is weak, and hime gyaru gets pulled toward costume changes, making both low in practical usefulness for makeup control. big eyes enlarges the eyes themselves rather than changing makeup, making it useful as a separate tool for a colored-contact effect.

Note: gyaru on its own did not produce a gyaru-style look. false lashes + heavy liner appears more effective, suggesting that stacking individual part keywords is the more reliable route.
