Conclusions First
Differentiation succeeded for all 3 types with just one outfit keyword. Maid and sailor produced characteristic features in 3 out of 3 images, and casual also generated Western casual wear in all 3.
What You’ll Learn
- How accurately different outfit types can be differentiated by changing just the outfit type
- Default style tendencies (color, design, accessories) for each outfit
- What one outfit keyword produces, and which elements need additional specification

Results by Condition
A00: Control (casual outfit)
| seed 1 | seed 2 | seed 3 |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Observations: All 3 generated Western casual wear. seed 1 is a striped T-shirt + denim shirt + jeans + white sneakers, seed 2 is a navy crewneck knit + jeans + black shoes, seed 3 is a plain white T-shirt + light green pants + sandals. Summary
- Differentiation succeeded for all 3 types with just one outfit keyword. Maid and sailor had characteristic elements appear in 3/3, and casual generated Western casual wear
- Stability differs by outfit. Maid has consistently stable black-white color scheme and frilled apron across all 3. Sailor’s color scheme changed each time (white+navy, navy+navy, white+gray)
- High accessory appearance rate. Maid headpiece and apron appeared in all 3, and sailor ribbon/scarf and pleated skirt confirmed in all 3
Lab Director Comment
The maid outfit getting the frilled apron and headpiece in all 3 images from just one keyword — that’s seriously stable. White-black full set across all 3 images. The sailor uniform having different colors each time is actually interesting though. High-recognition cosplay outfits clearly have a solid grasp in the model.
Deep Dive Test: Differentiation Without “japanese”
In the first stage (with 6 conditions tested separately), only chef uniform generated a Japanese-style cooking apron/samue rather than a Western chef coat. This may be because japanese in japanese actress was overriding the costume interpretation. So we re-tested the same 6 conditions with subjects specified as 1girl, 32yo actress (removing japanese).

Base Prompt (Deep Dive)
D00: casual outfit
| seed 1 | seed 2 | seed 3 |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Observations: All 3 generated Western appearance. seed 1 is denim jacket + white T-shirt + jeans + white sneakers, seed 2 is navy sweatshirt + jeans + black pumps, seed 3 is gray oversized T-shirt + jeans + sneakers. Compared to the first stage (japanese actress) which produced Asian appearance, removing japanese changed to Western appearance.
D01: maid outfit
| seed 1 | seed 2 | seed 3 |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Observations: Asian appearance generated in 3/3 images. Despite removing japanese, the black one-piece + white frilled apron + headpiece + knee-high socks + strap shoes composition is identical to the first stage. No differences in costume design. The maid outfit keyword itself may be inducing Asian appearance.
D02: nurse uniform
| seed 1 | seed 2 | seed 3 |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Observations: Asian appearance generated in 3/3 images. seed 1 is a light blue nurse top and bottom + nurse cap + white shoes, seed 2 is navy one-piece nurse uniform + nurse cap + white sneakers, seed 3 is white nurse top and bottom + nurse cap + white shoes. Removing japanese produced no appearance change, suggesting nurse uniform also has a tendency to induce Asian appearance.
D03: sailor uniform
| seed 1 | seed 2 | seed 3 |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Observations: Asian appearance generated in 3/3 images. seed 1 is white top + gray pleated skirt + navy scarf, seed 2 is navy sailor top and bottom + white scarf + navy knee-high socks, seed 3 is white top + gray pleated skirt + red ribbon. Japanese school uniform style with no change from removing japanese.
D04: police officer uniform
| seed 1 | seed 2 | seed 3 |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Observations: Asian appearance generated in 3/3 images. seed 1 is light blue shirt + navy pants + navy tie + uniform cap + gear belt, seed 2 is navy shirt + navy pants + uniform cap + gear belt, seed 3 is light blue shirt + navy pants + navy tie + uniform cap + gear belt. Uniform design close to Asian police style. No change in appearance or uniform design from removing japanese.
D05: chef uniform
| seed 1 | seed 2 | seed 3 |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Observations: Western appearance generated in 2 out of 3 (seeds 2 and 3), with only seed 1 showing Asian appearance. All 3 images had Western double-breasted chef coat + apron, with seed 3 also showing a chef toque (toque blanche). In the first stage (japanese actress), all 3 were Japanese-style cooking aprons/samue, but removing japanese changed to Western chef coat. chef uniform was confirmed to be the costume most strongly influenced by japanese.

- Only chef uniform had costume design change from removing
japanese.japanese actressproduced cooking aprons/samue (Japanese style),actressproduced double-breasted chef coat (Western style) - For 4 conditions maid/nurse/sailor/police, Asian appearance was generated even without
japanese. These outfit keywords themselves tend to induce Asian appearance - Only casual outfit changed to Western appearance when
japanesewas removed. Without outfit-induced appearance, actressalone defaults to Western appearance - When you want to stabilize subject appearance,
japaneseis effective, but there is a risk of Japanese-style override for outfits like chef
Lab Director Comment (Deep Dive)
Wait, maid and sailor producing Asian appearance even without japanese is interesting, right? The outfit keywords themselves seem tied to Asian cosplay context. Only chef flipping from cooking apron to chef coat is because Japanese and French cuisines have completely different uniforms. Casual straightforwardly becoming Western makes sense — it’s a culturally neutral outfit.
