Here I’m sharing the full prompts and generated portrait images of realistic Japanese women produced with z-image-turbo.
Each prompt’s design intent is explained using the 5-element decomposition approach, so you can use it as a reference when crafting your own prompts.
Understanding the basic rules of prompts beforehand will help you get more out of this example collection. → Prompt Basics
Common Settings
The following settings are used for all examples.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Model | z-image-turbo |
| Steps | 8 |
| Sampler | euler |
| Scheduler | ddim_uniform |
| Size | 1280x720 (landscape) or 720x1280 (portrait) |
Note: Because z-image-turbo uses CFG=1.0, negative prompts do not work. Optimizing positive prompts is what improves image quality. See Prompt Best Practices for details.
1. Cafe Portrait
A natural, candid portrait in a warm cafe.
5-element decomposition:
- Subject: Japanese woman in her mid 20s, long black hair, cream knit sweater, holding a latte with both hands
- Composition: Bust-up, seated at a table, candid style (natural look)
- Environment: Cozy cafe, wooden table
- Lighting: Afternoon sunlight through a large window, warm tones
- Technical: 85mm lens, shallow depth of field
Notes: candid photography style creates a natural atmosphere that doesn’t feel overly staged. holding a latte with both hands also helps stabilize hand depiction (hands tend to look more natural when holding something).
2. Outdoor Portrait (Park)
Fresh outdoor shooting that makes use of natural light.
5-element decomposition:
- Subject: Japanese woman in her early 20s, light blue sundress, hair blowing in the wind
- Composition: Slightly low angle (
shot from slightly belowcreates a leg-lengthening effect) - Environment: Lush green park
- Lighting: Dappled sunlight through trees (
dappled sunlight filtering through trees) - Technical: 50mm lens, lifestyle photo style
Notes: wind gently blowing her hair adds movement, dappled sunlight expresses the beautiful light of sunlight filtering through leaves. fresh and airy atmosphere specifies the overall mood.
3. Studio Portrait
A clean portrait imagining professional studio photography.
5-element decomposition:
- Subject: Late 20s, short bob, black turtleneck, confident expression
- Composition: Medium close-up, facing front
- Environment: Studio with white background
- Lighting: Professional studio lighting (key light + rim light)
- Technical: 85mm f/1.4, fashion photo style
Notes: Placing professional studio portrait at the beginning sets the studio shooting mood. confident expression clearly specifies the facial expression.
4. Golden Hour Portrait
A striking portrait using soft evening light.
5-element decomposition:
- Subject: Japanese woman in her 20s, long wavy brown hair, off-shoulder white top
- Composition: Rooftop terrace overlooking the city
- Environment: Building rooftop, twilight cityscape
- Lighting: Golden hour (
golden sunlight casting long shadows) - Technical: 135mm telephoto lens, editorial photo style
Notes: dreamy atmospheric haze adds the hazy quality unique to dusk. A 135mm telephoto lens compresses the background, pulling the city skyline closer. editorial photography gives a fashion-magazine finish.
5. Rainy Day Portrait
A dramatic rainy-day scene.
5-element decomposition:
- Subject: Japanese woman in her 20s, transparent umbrella, beige trench coat
- Composition: Full-body walking shot, cinematic composition
- Environment: Tokyo street at night, rain, neon lights
- Lighting: Neon light reflections, blue and orange color palette
- Technical: 35mm wide-angle lens, street photo style, film noir atmosphere
Notes: neon lights reflecting on wet pavement captures the beautiful reflections unique to a rainy night. moody blue and orange color palette directly specifies the color tone. film noir atmosphere gives a dramatic feel.
